Training for Academics by CILT-AI: Effective Classroom Management and Motivation Strategies Addressed
As part of the in-term training series organized by the Artificial Intelligence, Innovative Learning and Teaching Coordination Office (CILT-AI) at Ibn Haldun University, a session titled “Effective Classroom Management: Motivation Strategies in Learning and Teaching” was successfully held. The training, which aimed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of academic teaching processes, was completed with strong participation.

The session, delivered by Assist. Prof. Adem Yurdunkulu, focused on the fundamental principles of creating a dynamic and participatory learning environment. Particular emphasis was placed on strategies to increase in-class interaction, approaches to strengthen student motivation, and methods that support active engagement in learning processes.

Throughout the training, alongside theoretical knowledge, practical examples were presented, enabling participants to gain concrete insights that they could directly apply in their own courses. Academics also had the opportunity to discuss current challenges in classroom management and exchange experiences and solution strategies. In this respect, the session went beyond mere knowledge transfer and offered an interactive learning experience.

Participants gained valuable insights into directly applicable techniques for their academic teaching practices, while also exploring solutions to common challenges encountered in classroom management. The event contributed to the development of teaching competencies by providing an engaging and practice-oriented learning environment.

CILT-AI stated that such training sessions, aimed at strengthening teaching and learning processes, will continue throughout the semester with diverse themes and content. Future sessions are expected to further support the development of academics’ pedagogical and digital competencies.
