Professor Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, organized an important training session for faculty members at the invitation of the Coordinatorship of Innovative Learning and Teaching-Artificial Intelligence This training, titled "Design and Use of Learning, Teaching, and Assessment-Evaluation Methods in Accordance with Learning Outcomes," covered the fundamentals of learning processes and effective teaching strategies.

Prof. Dr. Akgün began by informing the participants about what learning is and how it occurs. Then, he classified the types of information conveyed to students in the classroom as "factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, and contextual knowledge." Emphasizing that different methods should be used in teaching each type of knowledge, he noted the importance of designing teaching and assessment processes accordingly to accommodate this diversity.

In the training, sample exercises were also conducted to determine appropriate achievement, assessment, and teaching methods for specific types of knowledge. Participants were provided with practical information on strategies to ensure that students achieve learning outcomes most effectively.

The information conveyed by Prof. Dr. Akgün in education serves as an important guide for university faculty members to design their courses more efficiently and to support their students' learning processes more effectively. This training is considered a significant step towards enhancing the quality of teaching at our university and supporting the success of our students.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün for accepting our invitation to the training, and to our esteemed faculty members for their participation.

Wishing for many more successful trainings together...
