The workshop began with the presentation of attention-grabbing statistics and by gathering feedback from the participants. This emphasized the importance of digital learning and sparked the participants' interest in the topic. Then, the workshop leader, Elif Tuğba Altunel, explained the concepts of digital learning skills, mind mapping, timeline, and data visualization applications. Participants were shown how they can learn more effectively and better remember information by using these applications. By watching a video related to the topic, the participants had the opportunity to see how these applications can be used in real life.
Then, the participants participated in a mind mapping activity. In this activity, participants learned how to visually organize their information by creating a mind map about a topic.
In the final part of the workshop, the participants were asked to write down what they learned today on the Padlet platform. This helped the participants to reinforce their learning and put their digital learning skills into practice.
The Digital Learning Skills Workshop equipped participants with new tools and techniques to develop their digital learning skills and learn and remember information more effectively. We would like to thank Elif Tuğba Altunel for organizing this productive workshop and all the students who participated.
